While Mom and I were fighting the evil window blanket, we did find some interesting things at my Grandfather’s house. There were boxes of sewing supplies, a pretty cool clear sewing case and a whole bunch of neat odds and ends. But by far my favorite find was my Grandfather’s sewing kit from WWII. I don’t know much about it, other than the fact that it looks military issue, which leads me to believe that he used while in the service. I wonder if everyone had one of these, or it was something special service men could opt to buy. Either way, I love how neat and compact it is- carrying just the essentials, in a solid, sturdy case.
