I’ll update about the day today later… but for now, wind sculpture in Barnsdale park… so meditative. The squares are made out of some sort of rice paper.

A rough re-creation of my walking trail

A rough re-creation of my walking trail

So, I spent a lot of time walking around yesterday. Plan to repeat today. Though this time I think I have a better idea of where I am supposed to go. Yesterday I got confused and walked South for a long time, looking for Franklin. Yeah, but that street, and the shops I was told to visit, are all north. Yay for walking in a big circle! I bought a map, but of course it ends at Hollywwod Blvd, which is not nearly north enough for where I was and was heading. Eventually I decided to walk to Griffith park. I wandered around for a bit, then saw a sign that said ‘trails’… “oh, trail maps” I thought. Nope, a really nice little cafe with blinking fairy lights and nice music, great place to end a day of walking. Eventually Jeff met me there and the night continued with less walking (went to MOCA, stopped by AFI), but that hour or two that I sat at the cafe may have been the most relaxing yet.

The plan today is to take a bus to the La Brea tar pits and the farmers market (even though I’ve already been to the market). Check out LACMA,  and when I get back towards Christine & Jaime’s, possibly walk around the Hollywood cemetery. We’ll see how it goes.
