I love this photo. It was in today’s “day in photos” on the BBC site. According to Daylife.com, “PERTH, AUSTRALIA – DECEMBER 02: A musician from the West Australian Symphony Orchestra performs a “Symphony in the Sea” at North Cottesloe Beach on December 2, 2008 in Perth, Australia. Dressed in full orchestral attire and wielding their own instruments, the performance is the latest in a series of ‘surreal human sculptures‘ by artist Andrew Baines, which included businessmen reading newspapers in the surf of Manly Beach in Sydney New South Wales, and similar installations in Victoria and South Australia.” I think I like the photos that inspire the paintings more than the final product. Something wonderful about fully dressed people playing around the sea.
